I like to sit and play with live people more often then not. I like hearing their stories about life when I'm playing. You get to read your opponent as well as their betting patterns. I feel welcome at the table even though we are their to get each others money. You get to see the person that you are talking to in live play. The added bonus is the dealer is a person at a Casino who is not playing in the game.

Thank U 4 Posting.

Poker is a very social game when played live. I have met very interesting people who are willing to share aspects of their life because of the common bond of poker. Enjoy the people at the table-take their money but always be nice about it and they will respect you if they to are good people.

From my experience playing live you can take any live buy-in, divide it by 10 and that's the equivalent skill level you'd find online. Every tournament under $100 that I've played live has been about the same as a micro to low stakes online game...so that's why I like playing live

100% agree. In fact, I consider myself more of a "live player" by default. I only play online occasionally when live poker isn't possible/practical and even then it is only a temporary substitute for me. Online lacks the same social element and presence of live reads. Also, I know that my opponent isn't using tracking software or is a bot :D

Yeah, I know that things like tracking software and statistics are allowed on various sites, but it becomes a math game more from this format. From a live game perspective, it is more of a psychology game and that is what I prefer :) Give me live poker over online virtually any day!

I prefer live poker for the social aspect, but also because if I am playing live, it means I am on vacation.

Online is very convenient. I can play poker even when I'm busy. For example I cook dinner.

There is nothing better than being able to see the opponents live, analyze all their gestures and movements, apart from the fact that this allows you to be able to socialize with different people and in many cases you end up generating a very good relationship with people you did not know before

Cause it's more social, exciting and enjoyable.
You can improve your reading skills and just have a good time with interesting people.
The interaction itself.

I enjoy your post on live play poker and I also like the social atmosphere of live poker.

Personally, I prefer online poker for its convenience. Online poker comes with it drawbacks but I wouldn’t be able to consistently play the game if I only played live. I also like the wide range of stakes and tournament options that live play offers.

Eventually I’d like to play poker live on a consistent basis. It’s a more authentic way to experience poker in my opinion. Until then I’ll I’ll continue to play online. The bad beats and the coolers are extremely tough playing online but I do believe that online play has made me a much more calculated, patient, and overall skilled player.

Good luck to all

Totally agree. Poker is much more fun live, unfortunately it`s not every one that can play it due to distances, etc. In my case for example the nearest poker club,in my country cassinos are forbidden, is too far away from my house it is mmore worthy to play online, but certainly live is more fun.

Live and online each have their place for me. Live is great for the social aspect, soft player pools and 'a night out'. Online is great for multiple tables, different buy-ins, HUD's, no commute or waiting for a seat, etc.

Everyone need's Interaction with other's this is why the lockdown has been so hard on people. They miss the social interaction with other people.
In a live game you can have a conversation with out missing out in a hand. How many time's have you been busy typing a message to some one in an on-line game and you miss the call and time out to lose your hand, or you hit the enter key for a message to pop up telling you that you can not message whilst someone is all-in.

Same. Live is too much of a hassle.
