I have not yet played live poker , but this is a completely different game than yelling online and I agree that it is very difficult to play right as professionals

You have to practice a lot on live games, anytime when you have this chance :D

in the beginning my friends read my plays easily, they knew if I was bluffing or not and they told me what I did, we played once a week and today I already disguise my plays well. So keep practicing and always make the same moves for both value and bluff.

Find out some tells that make people think you are bluffing and then try to emulate those tells when you have a monster.

Practice! Live poker and online poker are two different beasts. Your online opponents can't a live read while we fist pump when we hit our draws, and curse when the flop comes a brick in front of the computer. Keep the stakes low so you aren't hemorrhaging money (unless you can afford it), and try to relax and keep your cool so your aren't playing your cards face up.

Don't forget to study live game poker. You are capable of giving off a lot of tells, but so are your opponents, so get better at reading and interpreting your opponents tells.

Hey,

Instead of running from the problem you have, try first to project yourself into your opponents eyes, and try to see yourself as they see you and make an effort to spot your tells from there. Then you would be able to control yourself and those tells and, even use them sometimes.

The air must go in through the nose when breathing. :)

Mostly this comes down to experience - the more live poker you play, the more comfortable you get, and the easier you'll find it to stay calm.

The other thing I'd suggest is that your opponents don't necessarily pick up on as many tells as you might think. It might feel like everyone is watching your every move at the table and picking up on every subtle sign you give off (and sure, some astute players will) but especially if you're playing lower stakes, a lot of players either aren't paying that much attention, or wouldn't know how to read tells even if they are watching. So I wouldn't be too worried about it.

The final thing I'd suggest is learn yourself a few simple methods to control your tells. The guy is a douche so I hate recommending him, but look at any videos of Chris Ferguson playing. See how he sits the same way, and acts the same way, in every single hand? hands clasped in front of his mouth, moves in the same way when he makes bets every time, regardless of whether he's bluffing or sitting on a monster? Pick up a few of those things, and you'll instantly be covering up some of your most obvious tells.

First of all, you have to feel comfortable when playing poker, calm and relaxed.

Have confidence in your ability to play live poker.

The live game is very different from the one in front of the computer. Things get better with experience.

If you ever watched poker on TV you must have noticed the many different options the pro’s do.

One of the most obvious is how most of them keep still or very little movements; some may play with their chips while others may stare at their opponents, but many of them just keep still doing nothing but waiting on their opponents to make a decision.

What type of role you take all depends on what type of person you are.

Just figure out what works best for you and stick with it.

Try headphones as a distraction. Youre probably more difficult to read than you think you are... Become self conscious of youre movements and gestures so you can work on straightening them out.
