If somebody looked visibly ill or was wheezing and coughing I would pick up my chips and leave the table. I do the same thing on public transportation or in public spaces generally. Go sit somewhere else

People that are sick and may spread even a cold should not be playing. If they have preregistered to a big tournament and can not get out of it, should at least take all precautions necessary to prevent the spread of what ever it is they have.

For me personally people are too paranoid regarding the corona virus. Yes it is little bit more lethal than the normal seasonal flu but it is not ebola or yellow fever or something like that. Of course it is always good to have good hygiene and avoid direct contact with people who are sick but i do not intend to stop my life for weeks.

you are courageous. I wouldn't even try to sit next to people who sneeze or cough. I prefer to stay healthy than to earn money. in these difficult times. it is better to take these precautions and avoid being with several people in a closed room.

Get yourself a pocket-sized bottle of hand sanitizer?

If someone is contagious (generally speaking- not just with Mexican beer) they should isolate themselves but you can also take your own precautions/responsibility, no?

If you're really leery, get yourself a mask too?

Or, better yet, rock up to the casino in a full hazmat suit & breathing apparatus... That won't cause any concern!

With this virus spread around it is really difficult, especially if you play an important tournament where there are many people who come from outside. I think the best thing to do is to avoid these places and for those who play poker, just stay online for now.

Long before the coronavirus, I did not like playing at a table where a player was sick and actively coughing and sneezing. I would ask to move seats if this person was beside me, and I would take extra care not to touch my face after handling the chips.
