This is a discussion on Live poker UK within the online poker forums, in the Live Poker section; I would like to start playing live poker in the UK. For a gambling nation options seem to be severely restricted, even more so now

Outside London, grosvenor and genting seem to have a complete monopoly yet I've now heard genting isn't opening its card rooms and doesn't have any plans to do so,
Where does everyone play??

Check out your local snooker clubs and places like that.
There's one local to me that has a five or more table game, twice a week. I know another snooker club in the city also runs games too so presumably it's not uncommon.
We don't have a casino and the nearest town/city with one is a fair trek, so the club is where I mostly play live at the moment.
Pub games can be easy pickings but they can also be painful to play and I doubt many of those are running anyway...
I'm fortunate to live in a part of the country that has suffered very little from the outbreak and our cases and R number are very low here. If I lived anywhere else in the country with higher numbers, I'd be very hesitant to play live at all and if I did, I would be precautious.

Online poker > spreading covid.
Thanks I will definitely check out snooker halls, although my local snooker hall closed its doors last year! Everywhere is closing!
