I had the opportunity / coincidence to play with one at a local casino.

The table was abuzz as soon as dealers/staff got the call he was coming to play. He had won over $1M in a WPT tourney fairly recently.

He arrived half hour or so later. He was extremely friendly and congenial to all at the table. Not talking about who he was or what he had won, but everybody already knew, thanks to the pre-arrival buzz. He proceeded to romp over everyone and control the table. I was up about $150 when he arrived and after about a half hour I decided that I needed a break...lol... I left up $100, others were less fortunate. I think he ran it up from a $200 buy-in to about $1k during that time. I intended to return an hour or so later, but due to some unfortunate experiences elsewhere in the casino, I never returned. :icon_puke

It really was an eye-opening experience... how is this guy doing this?... scraping almost every pot ... being a very nice guy...lots of table chat...sometimes showing bluffs or nutz .. sometimes not showing... always winning at showdown, just amazing, to me anyway.

Would be interested to hear if any others have had a similar experience against highly skilled / accomplished players.

Best of Luck At The Tables All,

I imagine his reputation was winning more pots than his cards and as everyone knew who he was and he must be kinda good to have won one of those he knew when the others had good hands or were bluffing

Cool story though

Good luck out there
