I am still weary of playing live, but what do I do? sit at home playing online(unregulated)? Thoughts?

2pm brings the responsible crowd...and in theory, those that are now vaccinated.

IMHO it comes down to what level of risk you are willing to assume. You can double mask, wear a face shield, wear gloves and etc. to reduce the risk. Also what procedures does your venue of choice have implemented? Dividers, mandatory hand washing with sanitizer, cleaning seat areas between player changes, dealers wearing gloves, masks, shields ??

FWIW I've been playing 4-5 sessions a week for about a month now but at local club & local home game, so I know the players and whatnot. At the local club I wear a mask and use hand sanitizer. At the home game I don't do anything differently than I used to.

I have not played any live since this all started and cant wait to get back. For me it came down to comfort level and responsibility. I am not old but getting up there and my heath is not what it used to be. I also have a 15 and 11 year old and know 4 people who had the virus who......... Well you get it.

As for online. Yes they may be unregulated in

Its really up to you but if playing with friend and you trust them to be honest its probably ok to play. I would were the mask as a safety. As for a club or casino, they are doing what they can to make is safe for us. Is it perfect? I dont know.

Its not about mask or what to do be its about my kids and the family safety.

As for online. A sire may not be regulated in you are of the world but they and regulated where they are from. I dont believe the sites are out to take advantage of us and steal our funds. Well at least the bigger ones. The thing is if you want to play and dont want to risk the money you could always go small. $100.00 is maybe not to much to lose and you would be able to enjoy the game. Thats what I started out doing.

I have some breathing issues as I stopped taking medicals to my allergic asthma. Which means that sometimes hard to breathe through my nose, and most of the times I'm not able to breath a very deep from the air.
I can live with that, sometimes I have to really watch out for my technics and make myself a comfortable atmosphere. I worked with mask, which was hard, but every travelling that I had to make to arrive to work/ school was so hard for me, cause when I do nothing just existing and cannot grab my attention, it can become all worse.
So wearing mask at the end of the day caused me headaches, sickness and lack of appetite. I really try to avoid places where the mask is required. And the fact that they strenghten people to wear more and more it is just pointless till having cases like me, who could handle with their health-symptoms but not anymore.

I only play live poker when on vacation. I have no plans to travel anytime soon, even though I just got my first dose of the Moderna vaccine. There are still too many unknowns, especially with the new variants...I think I shall wait until at least the fall, if not until 2022.

Received my first Covid vac (Moderna) and I am all kinds of out of it, second dose is may 27th, and apparently that’s when the real side effects kick in (don’t quote me on that) anyhow looked up more and it says about 2 weeks after second dose you are then 95% protected. I like those odds, so mid June to August (considering I am late at getting fully vaccinated) I suppose is when I will play live again..yup
