I do, I wear a mask everywhere I go, except in like a forest or park if its empty. I clean my hands more often and I am vaccinated, I did all I could so I try not to think about the issue further.

I would never play live poker in a pandemic. I am amazed at how people don't understand what a pandemic is, and they just go about their life as if they are in normal times.

I feel relatively safe after getting the vaccine, but I am still not going to the gym.

Agreed. It baffles me how some just can't sit tight for a while. Yes, I know lockdowns or precautions are not fun - but you know what? It keeps you alive and it is only temporary. Getting impatient and acting like life is normal will not make it normal and this might even delay the "temporary" in the event of future surges.

I feel relatively safe after getting the vaccine, but I am still not going to the gym.

After being fully vaccinated, I'd feel a little safer, but still take the necessary precautions. I'll be glad when the pandemic is safely over and normal life may continue though; live poker is up there on my list :)

p.s. as of the time of writing this, I have already taken the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine and am scheduled for the second dose in a few weeks; I'm eager to get back to pre-pandemic life again, but we have to go about it the right way - not just acting like everything is "normal" as woodeng put it.

Stay safe everyone and we'll get through this

I will feel a lot more Covid safe in 6 days once the 2nd dose of the vaccine is 2 weeks past taken. As an older parent I have been very careful to not get sick and living in the 1st area that was the epicenter of the covid world in this country it has been a bitter time. My hope is to actually play a live tournament sometime sooner than later. I really have missed the live game.

I would never inform people about pandemic so different like the scientists, doctors, virologists, politicians do every day. There's not an universal truth in this topic, and this scare me.
As you said, you attended that live poker event on your own decision, and people can sneeze or having other breathing problems which helping to spread the virus in the air, so go to a crowded place only if you can feel yourself safe. On the other side if this is that dangerous, or if they really want to protect us, don't organise crowded poker events f.e. at all, but this is not the case. :)

I wear a mask everywhere I go - for a walk or bicycle - it's very important cause it reduces the risk of infection. FFP3 mask provides the highest level of protection.

I did not play live for 1.5 years due to the pandemic. I got my 2nd Pfizer vaccine on April 6th and played my first live tournament in Las Vegas on Apr 22nd.

I don't know about other casinos but in Vegas they were very strict about adhering to pandemic guidelines. Only 8 people per table, masks were required and strictly enforced, no eating at the table and there were plexiglass dividers (which I loved!) between every person at the table.

Chips and cards are cleaned and switched out frequently. They keep hand sanitizer at the table - everyone has to use it when they sit down or return from a break at the Venetian. No eating is permitted at the table - not even snacks.

When a player busts or moves to another seat their previous seat and area are sanitized and cleaned.

Being fully vaccinated I felt very comfortable playing live - however I refused to play until I was fully vaccinated.

This pandemic has been horrific and I don't trust other people to take it seriously because too many have repeatedly shown that they don't. But now that I am 94% protected against getting the virus and 100% protected against serious illness and/or death - those who are not vaccinated are the ones at risk and that is their problem. :)

For me, it is way too soon, I have had my first Dose of Astra Zeneca, but it looks like it may be another month or 2 before I can get a second dose.
Also, we still don't fully know what strains these vaccines will protect us against. With new strains of the virus being discovered all the time how do we know which ones we are protected from?

No thanks, I can wait:cool:

My full secind vaccination kicks in in 12 days and I am looking forward to live play again. I think at that point the stakes of catching anything or getting seriously ill are reduced enough that it's worth it. There are likely other riskier behaviors I indulge in regularly... like eating at Buffalo Wild Wings!

Pandemic?? How many profesional sport players had even tougher simptoms?? This "pandemic" is light flue for people with strong imunity, and realy dangerous for older people who don't, just because its new for them... How many kids died?? How many from flue?? sweden with no masks has less dead than USA on milion people, bcs they let young people get infected and isolate old!

I prefer playing poker on a computer where there are only computer viruses---I don't like to play poker in same room with other humans because humans are more dangerous to be in contact with than any other animal even more dangerous than mosquitos which would come in second.

I agree. Had COVID-19 confirmed by PCR and antibody test - not a big deal for me. There is rather bigger problem of pandemic of vitamin D deficiency because people have stopped sunbath and there is plenty of evidence that low vitamin D level makes covid infection more serious.

I just got comped room, food and 150 cash to play live and I went this weekend. Room was clean and masks were worn. I probably wouldn’t have gone but I just got my second shot and have been itching to play. Didn’t stay in the room tho. Day trip instead.
