age 60: is it possible to get a first-time dealer job?

i'd like to do a dealer school here in france and get a job in Colorado (my daughter lives there). I'm american citizen and just turned 60. the dealer school here said she couldn't place me cuz I'm 60. What is it like in the US; would I have a chance to be hired. I stay in good shape, have a university degree, have played poker for years on-line, i'm friendly, like to deal...
