This is THE MOST COMMON noob mistake.

You must use exactly 2 cards from your hand and exactly 3 from the board.

Any 2, any 3.

But you have 6 2 card combos to start with, and 10 3 card board combo's.

When you look at your dealt cards, try to have 3 of those 6 combo's look playable. You started this hand with no real playable hands out of the 6 u r dealt.

So your starting hands are;
As9C
As7h
As4h
9c7h
9c4h
7h4h

If this were holdem, how many of those hands would you put money in the pot with? You are playing HU, with complete and total junk here.

Fold that crap.

Keep in mind that each villain at your table is also looking at 6 combo's pre, so at a 6 max table, you are up against 30 combo's before any action starts.

I'm raising every one of those combos pre flop HU.

Happened to me first time playing it live. I couldn't grasp it either... Until I lost my stack, lol...

94o?

Hyper Turbo thought process ITT.

if this is an Omaha Hyper then fine, but if not you can afford to fold.. that hand is a bit shitty though, not jumping on the dj bandwagon!

Yea at 25bb readless I'll open 94o OTB. Once I have a few reads I might drop it from my opening range.

I had barely any chips left in this hand and saw a suited hand with an ace so just shoved it.

Ya I still on occasion make the stupid counting mistake, earlier I counted 3 cards in my hand for the nut straight (lost to 3 9's) took me a couple of minutes to figure wtf happened.

I learned this lesson when my A high 4 card flush lost to 23s. The good old days.

Since the title of this thread is not about how you played the hand, but rather about some basic understanding of the game, I posted addressing the most basic issues one deals with in Omahahahaha.

But I could have folded the deal, even at these stack sizes and being HU.
