When you have a flush or straight draw on the flop - semi bluff, check or small bet or value call?

Hi,

Would you rather check, or wait for a good pot odds call like $10 for $100 pot?

Or would you prefer a semi-bluff? or a small bet? If so how much should you be semi-bluffing to get enough value from a flush or straight draw if they call?

Many Thanks,

Jack,

Hi Jack,

It actually depends on many factors, mainly who you're playing with, the stack sizes, just one opponent or a multiway pot, the stage of the tournament etc...
But most of the time, especially if there's only one opponent in the hand, a 1/2 pot bet would be the best action in my opinion.
