On the river getting max value is very dependent on the Villain being able to have a strong second best hand or us having enough bluffs.

We also build pots early to get the max value so it is common to bet flop turn so that on the river the SPR is below 1 to get max value for the hand

Being out of position is tough to get value on the River. But we must try because checking and hoping the villain bets so we can raise might not happen and we get no value when they check back. You have to find the right amount that they will call with and not fold. The better their hand the bigger you can bet. You hope they can find a raise so we can felt them. Good luck!
