Just play or learn and play are two totally different concepts.

I started playing poker initially as a *just play* player.
But after joining cardschat I have learnt a lot from all your comments posted.

So now I feel I play better, bence my vote will be *learn n play*.

Yes 100% , You can sit back and try and read listen watch all these videos of successful players but that will never get you over the hurdle of YOU becoming a better player. Their Styles of play may not transfer over to how your facial expressions work or other sorts of body language , or how you react to certain scenarios. You are the Best teacher to Improve your game. you can have someone watch you and give you tips and hints but in the end Realizing you're Strong sides and Weakness will Create the best Image of yourself. It goes along with any sport , you can have a great teacher all day but it is YOU who can find your own stride , they are just assisting in the process

Yes, I also agree that even studies being much needed, the most important factor is the game itself.

Sure we can learn from experience but I think we can learn a lot quicker from teachers who have already gone through the experience! :icon_stud

You can read a lot of books, watch poker games, but I think the experience is best when you watch a game, everything seems easy and simple, and when you play it yourself, decisions are hard, the more you play, the easier is to make decisions.
