Variance/Odds Calculator

I admit I am slow to comprehend and I am trying disperately to understand the term "variance". my understanding is the up and down swings of poker. 1st - is that correct? I have been posting about a serious downswing and based on what I am reading it might be a good idea to stop playing MTT's and go to sit n gos for awhile - any thoughts please?

Are you able to incorporate the odds calculator on this site to live poker tourneys?

I agree dropping to 1 table SNG is helpful, I do this to reload my BR when on a down swing.

as for poker calculators I use them when studying or going over various hands after a game not during a game. Note if you play poker stars and use a equity calc like equilab for instance you will get a warning email that you are using unapproved software. I can only play home games on PS and get this often if I have left equilab open ... just an fyi
