How to predict that a pair of 2 can beat a pair of As in UTG?

22 will beat AA on average 20% of the time.

Just so happens that 100% of that 20% is always against you.
I have seen AA hold up against 22, but not when I've had it.

The chances of you winning with 22 if the opponent has AA are pretty slim. Considering that your opponent does not improve at all, you can beat him with a set, straight or flush. But 22 UTG, especially if you are in very early stages of a tournament, I would try to keep the pot small.

Anyone who can predict this will probably not answer your question. Such situations happen and it is absolutely normal. If it upsets you a lot, then that's a problem, but it's only a problem for you. I just had someone crack my kings yesterday calling with 22, of course they hit a set and probably thought this was a great play calling that much with 22... and I'm perfectly happy to let them continue thinking that since they will lose 80% of the time👍

I jammed yesterday with AKo from SB because I was short.

And BB called with 22.

So a clear 50/50.

There was no A or K for 22 won.

you'll win 17% with a pair of 22 against AA so this happens very often in poker when you're older but you lose the way poker math works

22 I can still accept, but today I had my KK cracked by 78o...2 pair and that happened several times.....VERY VERY bad day today FFS....now I need some sympathy and brotherly affection....will someone please make me a nice cup of tea and a sandwich....PLEASE ???
