Been watching a lot of the high rollers twitch their play.

I'm convinced now more than ever, that I'm pretty much finished with Poker.

So if you are considering making another deposit, go to twitch, search poker and start watching.

I have done so for hours and hours, quietly lurking, dozens of different players, mostly pokerstars.

Ask yourself after watching for a few hours. Is your game experience similar to theirs ever?

What I mean, do you get those hole cards at a similar frequency, or those flops at a similar frequency. Answer yes, keep playing, answer no, donate to a charity.

You might get more responses if you move this over here:

Online Poker is Rigged

I know there are games where we can really feel that the site is against us, but it's pretty clear that it's a perception issue and nothing to do with the site being unfair (certainly true with PS).

There are plenty of people out there with positive ROI despite your perceptions of being "rigged" or bad beats. For some reason people think that online you take horrible bad beats, certain people run good, ect... and that doesn't happen live. It certainly happens just as much live as it does online, except you play less hands live. If you keep track of both, they are very close.

While you do have to make adjustments for online poker, I win live and win online. No secret there, good poker wins, if you have leaks, they show both online and live. People don't want to admit the problem is with "their" game rather than the format (online or live). Lots of stuff out there to blame losing on.

My only problem with online poker is that there is no regulation. You could deposit money and never see it again, never had a problem with it being "fair".

Usually the streamers are playing multiple tables and bringing the tables to the screen as they get good hole cards and/or interesting run outs. Plus when a tournament is busted they usually just fire up another. Watch a streamer single table a tournament and you see plenty of folding and/or standard play.

Hey I know I cannot convince anyone it's rigged or not. People believe what they want to believe.

-20 Million people believe 5 million illegal immigrants voted in the US Presidential Election.
-Several million believe the earth is flat.
-Several Million believe drinking urine cures cancer.
-Hundreds of millions believe Climate change is not real.
-30 million people believe environmentalists cause oil spills.
-100 million believe sexual orientation is a choice.
-20 million believe Elvis is alive.

You believe what you believe, I believe what I believe, and for the most part we are all free to believe what ever we wish.

In this thread, all I provided was an avenue for anyone to see for themselves what other players experiences are with the various poker sites.

At any given time you can watch 20 or so different players as well.

I find it very interesting.

I also find it a big influence on my decision to just build a BR from free rolls rather than just reloading.

In any event, I find it a shame really, Online poker could be far more popular, far more fun, but these operators choose to run them like slot machines.

Interesting read Steve

I kinda agree with your findings, it's casino / slot mentality if I spin enough I will win and hit, people can't sit and wait for a solid hand. they play anything but as your findings I have my own!!

They pay the people who are betting more in my opinion, the higher you roll on the scale eg higher stars level, there getting preference.

Why would they give me a £10 one time only depositor the hands over the gambler who runs hot and cold and invests £50 a week ??

I enjoy playing and these days I've given up winning anything major, tournaments are joker poker.

time killer no investment from me

i disagree maybe up your game to their level the good news is plenty of live or video show to work on your game. I will say I have been a good player since 2003 I thought was great in 2008-2009 now I know better and what ive learned on twitch and high level video has totally opened up new doors to my game. I do not think is a level I cannot play. Just need the time and money to get there. Just my two cents. I dont think I am better then anyone else but I do think I have put in the hours to put myself at a level I am proud of. There is still variance and that was pointed out how they play multiple tables like me easiest way to deal with variance online imho also play multiple sites eggs in one basket thing. Yesterday was bad poker played 8 tourneys no moneys starting at 7ish. Wasnt into it was doing things with bitcoin etc.. last four days before 2 wins in tournaments and 6 moneys 3 str8 days and 8 moneys the fourth day. Playing 14-16 tourneys a day is working for me obviously:) I was sick yesterday like fluish so that effected decisions also and was more likely to gamble. What I have learned mostly is you have to have a fuller toolbox especially late so I can fold enough to win. I have also on that run folded down to 120 chips say more times then I can count having faith id catch playable cards and still moneyed and the two wins came from 9th to win events. Been playing from behind a lot I dont like that the 8 day i gambled more on pots and pushed when could and accepted more coin flips but got no first best finish was 8th. Few hundred people. I was not happy im consistently finishing 10 to 35th right now but expect better and need timely luck at the end:)

Right now timely luck is not happening that well and some decisions ive left money on table. So the key???? KEEP LEARNING there is ALWAYS more you can learn

Not suggesting you can't win, you can, but I do think what some call a coin flip is not, but certainly plays like 1.

I have lost A something to A something lower far more times than I have ever won that so called flip.

One of my Poker tracking software programs allows me to track the running muck on PS, using that info, the position they play whatever, I can get a pretty good idea if I'm getting my chips in ahead whether it's post flop or pre-flop. Often and more times than not, While I agree I can still lose, and accept that, the frequency of such is just to far out of wack for me to believe it's a just and fair system.

I played a 888 freeroll yesterday like an idiot, late I was also in 1rst place in the $6000 event. The antes and blinds were insane. However all I was doing was shoving every hand any 2 cards, where I was ahead in chips and the flops were insane.

I knocked out at least 50 players.

Once I was in first and far ahead, I tightened up a bit and started shoving better hands and was knocked out in 35th or so.

Complete bingo poker and a total joke.

I really don't think its that much to ask that it be fair for everyone.

poker is a rough mistress:) You are playing huge fields thousands of people and believing you should win the tournament its simply not going to happen no matter the skill level yep you can get some wins but when you have that much variance your gonna get bad beats and frustration.

Find small fields target your audience know whom your playing by playing the same game same fields etc.. you will get your results your happy with online if you play well and make some decisions to put yourself in the better positions of winning:)

Since most of them play 8-14 tables at a time it is not hard to find one table with a strong starting hand.
