So, the age old question, tourney or cash?

For me, I prefer to do tourney games as I get to 1. play with more people of various skill ranges and 2. get a micropayout that feels amazing sometimes.

Being said, quick cashouts are amazing and leaving whenever is fine, but tourneys really hone your skill at times.

It depends on the player's time to take into account a specific modality

I generally like to play tournaments as even though you may only get a meagre pay out for x amount of hours played I find I get more time at the tables in a tournament which gives me more time to watch how others play and learn and improve my own game

I find tournaments more fun because the blinds go up; more happens; and you play at a lot of different stack sizes. But the answer to this question definitely depends on individual taste!

If you play more tourneys you get more proficient in poker and eventually start to play cash games better. This is because you start to learn how to behave under pressure. Reverse is not true.
