Time to start to get real money

Hi guys,

I've started to play freeroll poker tournament and had a question:

How much time did you invest and started to get real money (I mean at least 3-5k USD per month)? What games did you play to get that money (spin-n go, cash game, tournaments)?

3-5k/month is alot of money. It is not a bad gosl to have but i don't think you can get an answer because there are not many that get 3-5k regularly.
But the easy answer would probably be study alot, specialise in a single game and put hundreds of hours in it monthly and in a few years you would probably get there.
You also need money to start with like a solid bankroll and bankroll management, lots of discipline and concentration + a training site can help alot. Starting with freerolls will take like.. alot more.

u are not specific.
what games - does not matter.
What do YOU like to play? you can make 3-5k in any games spins/sngs/mtts/cash, but it will boil down to what are you will to work at and what obsitacles you are willing to over come... exmp. soisn are ez money and not time restraining but 50 BI swings per day - just tuesday =). cash is basicaly dead without rakeback/leaderbords, mtts- 10hr days + swins for months

Cant say I have earned $3k-$5k a month playing poker. I have earned $300-$500 a month. That's putting in 45 to 55 hour weeks playing freerolls and small cash games no higher than 5c/10c on about 7 poker sites. I would have about 12 tournaments a day I was signed up for too.

I didnt get that amount money per moths I have few friends who started at ~2010 the earned that sum after 3-5 years. HU Sng, Cash, tournaments no mater form. Usually they all being stacked+coached. But nowadays i thing its bit harder. No?

3-5 thousand dollars a month, I think it is unlikely. That is too much. In this case, it is better to find a suitable job than to count on such earnings by playing poker.
