Hard not to tilt when you have
a fish not only river you when they should of been long gone but then start gloating after! lol Hoping to learn how to deal with that a little better in the future.
I or is seeing in twuich To many pro players and those who better handle batbeats, those are the ones that I still like when they are taken in a comical way to make this more bearable
Being human we can be forced to feel a certain way becasue of our emotions. Especially with poker sometimes being under pressure can magnify you dissappointment, anger or even your excitment.
With your own tilting I would advise, depend on your situatuion/game type you play ,if you can afford to sit out a hand or two allowing you to collect your thoughts and get right back in the saddle ready to ship the tournament or take on the cash game. if you are really pent up then the 4 second breathing tecnique is know to help in some stressful situations.
Breathe in for 4 hold for 4 out for 4 and hold again for 4.
Learn pokers tecnical side and understand natural variance of things, but if you are higly emotional person overall, dont make poker your dayjob. There is not so much we can do our personality straits. Training to control your emotions might help for while, but not permanently, and you can do alot of damage to your bankroll by single tilt mood.
Having suffered a defeat, you can do different things - abandon your idea (this will be a real defeat), ignore what others are saying, and try again (also not too smart, because the need to perform the same actions and expect from them different results indicates a mild degree of insanity) or change the approach and make another attempt.
If you find yourself tilting, walk away for a bit before returning to play. Even if you're in a tournament, you may be better off taking a few minutes to walk around and regroup to avoid blowing off the rest of your stack.
