I play cash games and set-up a limit like 3-4 buy-ins if I'm over the limit no matter what direction up or down I sit-out

Listening to good music and knowing that you made the right call. If I made a mistake then I go back to the books!

To learn and work toward overcoming 80% of your tilt problems takes a lot of time. In my opinion, we all have that 20% of our tilt problem stuffed back in there some where, and believe me, it's going to surface at times, but it won't last but a minute if you let it go. The Past Can't Be Changed

If you think poker is a game of skill, then this means you are skilled enough and have a few tricks in your pocket to get away from tilt otherwise you are inclined to think poker is a game of luck.

I try to take some deep breaths and realize that suck outs happen in poker. Realize that you are tilted and try to remember that the tilt will only affect your game in a negative way.

For cash game i stop playing until i calm down. Tournament i try not to mind it and rely more in the stats for decisions rather than gut feeling when im on tilt.

I obviously hit the exit button on my client. However, things get more complicated when playing mtts and sngs. When playing cash it's easier. But if it happens during a long mtt session it really hurts. However, with the experience I've learned not to pay too much attention to suckouts. Of course every now and then I also go on tilt.

And when I close the client finally, the things that make me forget about those badbeats best are playing some chess ( my other favourite hobby) and playing some Counter Strike. A few headshots always help to forget about the miserable experience at the poker tables :)

when i hit the tilt stage its best that i just stop playing cards because i will lose more and more at the table. Best option is to take a break for me atleast.

Find out what tilt's you and focus on not letting it bother you. Things like bad beats are just a part of the game.

The way I would deal with tilt is I tell myself someday I will catch a break or two at the tables and I hopefully one day I can reach to the top of the poker ladder.
