Thank you for posting.

Jared Tendler's books "The Mental Game of Poker" Vol 1-2 are worth the purchase price.
the book teaches us that not tilting is a skill and we can learn any skill if we work at it.

One of the key points in book 1 is to recognize our tilt triggers as the trigger comes first then the tilt after. If we know our triggers we can calm our minds and move back to a rational frame of mind.

With your tilt of losing it all you need to quit playing instantly when you tilt. Have a mantra every 30 mins take 30 seconds and repeat to yourself "if I tilt I quit" Doing this may help you.

Hope this helps

In the beginning when I first learned to play poker I would tilt. Over time, as I learned the math of the game I observed that I did not tilt anymore. For me, knowledge and understanding stopped the tilt as I expected things to happen a % of time.

Good luck finding your way to stop tilting! :)

Probably the best solution is to stop the game immediately and take a break. It is even better to go for a walk. A break will save you money.

Hello.
I don't have a tilt. Never. I don't have a tilt because I follow bankroll management and easily control my game and my expenses.

I have never experienced a real TILT either.
Sometimes I'm out of luck, and that's it.

Instead of tilting, I look at it as a challenge to get back where I was.

if i play bad and get tilted it helps me to think "you can learn from your mistakes and you will play a lot in the future again so dont worry"

if i get sucked out or coolered or run bad in general and get tilted i actually can not handle it well

in my opinion the hardest things in poker are tilt management and bankroll management (to follow it no matter what)

I think that in poker, every player should have long-term goals and a plan to achieve them. If you have long-term goals then temporary failures will not upset you and as a result you will always keep your emotions under control.

And usually the break needs to be for the rest of the day. Its not enough to say "oh now I rested for one hour, so I am going to start to play again". Also consider come kind of daily stop-loss like 10% of your bankroll. If you are down that much, you stop, even if you dont feel, you are tilting yet.

Learning to control tilt to a degree is a skill many players need to learn. I have done well learning how to control the tilt and see when its creeping into my game. Its not easy for sure but a valuable tool.

Tilting is my way of sitting in the corner and crying “oh poor me”. The first thing I have to do is realize that AA is not a winner 100% of the time. Neither is anything else but the stone cold nuts. I remind myself about pot odds and play accordingly. If you’re a favorite every time you push, your stack will get bigger.

There will be swings and losses. If you need to, move to lower stakes where the losses won’t tilt you as bad.

Bonus piece of advice. I’m 70. Been playing since high school. Never, ever keep your bankroll on a poker site. I’ve had too many sites shut down while holding my money. Full Tilt is the only one that gave my money back.

Absolutely agree. Adherence to bankroll management is a must for all players who want to play, develop and make money.

In my understanding, overcoming tilt means always being at the table in such a state that nothing can harm and affect the quality of the game. It is when
under any circumstances, I can answer "what am I doing? why? and for what?"So far I have not been able to defeat this condition, although I have made significant progress for
some years.
