What advice would you give me to overcome the losing streak?
The advice under these circumstances is almost always to take an extended break.
The second best option for me is to play on a different site, or location. This is reserved for moderate tilt though, or for tilt that is specifically directed to the platform/casino. Because it couldn’t possibly be my fault when something goes wrong.
Yep most players will tell you to take a break because a break is great. However, if you carry that tilt around with you during your break, it's not any help. I did that, and when I played again, it was just the same. What helped me the most years ago was to practice saying Oh Well and go on to the next hand with as much positive thoughts as you can. In other words forget it as fast as water rolls off a duck's back. Yeah it sounds stupid, and it's going to be hard at first, but the more you do it the more positive you will become throughout your time at the tables and even in your daily life. My 2 cents.
I just remember that a tilt is temporary. It's how you play through adversity that shows how good of a poker player you are. Stay the course, play consistently, and in the long run your tilt will turn the opposite way. The most important thing to remember is you can't win 100 percent of the time. Choosing your moments to shine are far more rewarding than focusing on the temporary dips. Stay positive and enjoy the game!
