If it's cash games, just out the table. Risk of you to loss further is higher if you play in not correct state of mind, i.e. you will make mistakes a lot.
If it's tournament, I would acknowledge that I'm a bit tilted and must aware of it. After that remind yourself about your game plan and repeating word such as focus, calm, chill, etc.
As tilting is common in online games, such as Dota, LOL, etc. you will find many references on how to not be tilted.
I have tried too many tactics not to get tilted, but nothing works for sure. I have come to the conclusion that the point is not to tilt some times, the real problem is not to tilt almost every time you play. I think that depends on the psychology you find in your life in general.
First what make u tilt ? If it was a badbeat u need to accept it it's just short-term result
don't think u r unlucky man in the world everyone face a badbeat it's part of the game
when I started playing poker I try to avoid it but I can't we need to face it everyday it's okay to take a break but for me it's watse my learning time I can learn a lot while taking a break I didn't mean u shouldn't take a break but my opinion is if u can accept that it better a lot I meditate 15-20 min a day it's good .
I'm not a good player but I think maybe it will help you handle with this
Hi. It costs a lot reponerme- me personally especially when I have the winning hand and river hands lose against spam. to exit the tilt almost always I go all in on the next hand if I win if I get well I will not analyze why I lost in the previous hand
It will probably be funny to write it, but I will write it. If there comes a time when the cards do not go at all and this takes a long time, then I do a reboot pokerstars. I leave pokerstars and go back. It works very often. Pokerstars is a program, rebooting it you make adjustments to its work
try to take a break. as a distraction from the game for a while. watch a movie go for a run or something else. after a while, you will approach the game differently.
If things are really not going my way, and I begin to feel upset about it, I simply stop playing. In cash games I click "sit out on next big blind", and in tournaments I stop buying into more of them. Basically most of us are not professional players, so if we dont enjoy playing due to tilt or other issues, there is no reason to force it. If I am in a prolonged slump, I also tend to play less in general.
Before, I could not fight the state of tilt, but many years passed and I almost learned to control it) I think that each of us is able to cope with our emotions, because poker just teaches us how to control emotions at the table)
CC freebie, me: AA, opp KK, he catches, I don't. Could tilt, but why? Deal with it by walking away, clear my mind, no more squinting and hoping for my card. If I am on verge of tilt, frustration, etc, exercise, out of the house completely works best for me. Basically, a complete break.
Hello, I think it is something that has to be worked on previously, the mental game is very important to carry out any activity at a high level, you must work it and accept it. sometimes it is normal that there are situations that get you out of your boxes, but poker is like that friend, luck
is the worse, when you play and the game is for the other player, is disgusting because you play much hands and lose and him play 3 or 4 hands and win, i play type sahrk with monster hands and losed, today play KK vs QQ and him in the flop a queen appearances
I'm always saying to myself, that the deck is only 52 cards and some of them must hit the board - if those are the ones that screw me up then well, it is what it is. As long as the decision i made was right, nothing i can do about it. That's poker, if i can't handle it, then too weak for this game. I'm not weak u fu***r!
I think the best way is to just take a deep breath and think about the best way to regroup. For me getting up off the table works for a bit. Everyone goes on tilt, but not everyone reacts the same way. There have been times I was steaming inside, but when I sit back and think I realize I probably could have played the hand a bit differently. Or sometimes just realize it doesn't matter what I did, some players are just going to play how they play. You can't control what others do.
Deep breathing is your best friend. Slowing down (don't play too many tables) and keeping calm (don't play for too much money). Also soothing music helps a ton.
