Hi rossbayes and welcome to Cardschat. I totally agree with karl coakley and there is no need for me to repeat what everyone here has said, except for the fact that playing is going to be your best teacher There is a couple things I want to add. First of all, since we all agree about how important playing is, you need to focus on getting into the Freeroll Club. That will give you
freerolls to play while you are learning. Click on Calendar at the top and you will see what freerolls you will be able to play. If I'm not mistaken, if you are not a US player, you will have a lot to pick from every day. Here are two links to things you need to read.

Here are somethings that are (have to have) to become a good player, or you should give up now. There are some WHY questions you should ask about these things, and you need them answered by more members than just me. First of all, you will need a lot of patience while playing, and while you are learning. Second, you need to work on staying focused while you play. Third, you need confidence in yourself, and that take a positive attitude. We all have our negative attitudes, so just don't play during those times, or be ready to lose some money. Forth, and this should have been at the top of this list, Work harder on any TILT problem you may have than any of the others. Once you can put anything that may cause you to tilt, behind you, all the others will come to you. Bad Beats will come your way, just like they do us all. How you deal with them can wreck your game, or make it stronger. Last of all, take the advice you get here to your tables and try it. If some things work, keep using it, if some things don't work, don't use it, but don't throw it in the muck. Write it down on a pad you should keep in front of you at all times. Ok I'm done and I'm sure you are glad. GL
