In the game of poker in my view, not bluffing is catastrophic, many if we always play to get our hands right, we will probably always lose.
But for the bluff to be successful, we need to tell a good story, use values consistent with the pot, always play in position and not bluff too much.
And you, what do you think we should do to make a bluff successful?
Good luck at the tables!

You have to bluff intuitively, depending on the opponents at the table. An important role is played by the status and position you have acquired at the table by this moment, previous successful distributions and playing hands in your favor:)

bluffing is mostly successful when you are in position. But it can be done from other positions also. It depends on many other thing. One mistake and you could be loser.
Now, can you play without bluffing? No. If you can''t bluff then you could become the victim of bluff.

I think a lot depends on your opponents. It is important to understand what style of play your opponents have and use this knowledge to their advantage, and then your bluff has a good chance of being successful.

You need to bluff, otherwise it's hard to play. The main thing is not to abuse it.

If you read your opponent's hand correctly, regardless of your cards and your position, you can bluff them out of the pot with a check raise. Here, of course, an important role is played by the level of your opponent, who will be able to correctly understand Your bets.:)

Do it correctly. If you bluff too much, the opponentst will read what you do and they will use it against you.

It's true. The situation at the table is always the most important.

You want an opponent who's capable of folding and the ability to represent strong hands with your bet. So a *bad* time to bluff would be against a calling station when you've checked back the turn on a coordinated board and then suddenly bet big on the river.

Also, if you might win at showdown, you usually shouldn't pick that time to bluff.

bluffing successfully

bluffing is part of the game and it is essential to game. To be able to pull off a bluff, one has to build an in-game strategy, due to the fact that there is only a 33% chance of your hand hitting pre-flop

Bluff culture

I agree with you!
When we have the first contact with poker, most of the professional players you see giving lessons, basically say that everyone has to bluff.
However this "culture" of bluffing, leads many players to feel the obligation to bluff in many scenarios without the slightest need. I particularly think in theory this is not very certain, because most of a poker player's profitability comes from his strong hands and not from bluffs.
Either way, bluffing in poker is essential though, he has to tell a beautiful story in a scenario that is conducive to him, thus avoiding playing a final stretch of a tournament out or even losing money, which no one wants around here. Thanks for all the comments, it was of great help and reflection.

A successful bluff is all about telling a believable story versus the right opponent on the right board texture.

For bluff you need to make a story that the villain will believe it.

I think bluffs working depends on your table image! If you play the same people all the time and have a tight image you can bluff and win if you pick the right spots!

I think the experience is worth a lot in those moments, there are many times when you know that your bluff will work.
