I saw in a report, two guys who got rich thanks to online poker. When asked about their secret, they said that the key is to never enter a table or tournament with more than 5% of your entire budget.

What do you think about this?

everyone has their way, it's important to manage BR so that you don't get destabilized when you lose. And that will happen much more than winning

However, being overly sensitive to such things may also be a problem.
Just because you follow it doesn't mean that everything will go well.

Hi.
I think this is absolutely the right approach to the game. I follow this principle myself, and I never spend more than 2-3% of my bankroll per day. Thanks to this, I have good results and regular profit.
Good luck.

I though the standard was to have 100 buyins but I may be wrong, maybe 20 is a new concept? Not sure on this. I guess also it depends if you are going to re-load if you bust all the bankroll.

One percent of your bankroll for a beginning to medium strength player is probably correct. Iprefer the above 100 buy-ins so if you enter $1 tournaments your bankroll should be $100.
In a cash game where the buy-in is $5 you should have a bank of $500.

As already said, its even a bit too high of a percentage. I would say its the highest one should go on rare occasions. Typically, it should be 1%.

I think these are the right words and thoughts, these guys have become rich people, they won’t lie, I think it’s worth listening to them

This is one of the mechanics of bankroll management. Someone has a 5% threshold, someone has 10%.
It all depends on what bankroll you start with and how strong you are at poker.

I think they just played well) I don’t think it really affected their bankroll that much.

You should always play within your bankroll and never jump above your limits.

5 percent seems high. Go ahead and try it. Once you lose half your bankroll, it might be telling you 1 percent is the more appropriate amount to risk.
