Nine high should be folded as a starting hand. That is a dangerous hand to draw to. Most good opponents will be drawing to a 8 low or better.

The lowest different 5 possible cards are winner. Always the biggest kicker(s) loosing.

(Just a little additional info, 3-6th cards are visible for everyone, the 1st 2nd and 7th cards are not visible for them only for the owners of the hands. The party starting like the first 3 cards are dealt, then it goes card by card to everyone, and after every dealing in a party you can raise. It's usually a fix limit game, so in every raising round the bets can up to 4x. Hope it makes sense. :) )

Opp has here: 2-3-4-6-8
We have: A-2-4-5 (meaning any card to 8 is good)

So how many outs left for us to hit: A:3, 2:2, 3:2, 4:2, 5:3, 6:3, 7:4, 8:3 = 22 outs.

9-10 are on the line. There are some cases, some opponents and some boards where you actually had to play them, and put some in your range. :)
