So I'm trying to make certain adjustments to my game, but as of now I don't have a place that I write down all of my adjustments, and I'm concerned as I get better I'll forget some of the adjustments I've added to my game. Do you guys keep a guide on how you handle certain situations or just play by feel?

The more you play, the more you will encounter similar situations and it will become second nature. Also get used to keeping track of things in your head. Not only is this exercise for your brain. But when you finally make it to the TV final table, you'd look pretty silly writing down notes on a piece of paper after every hand.

The adjustments you are talking about should be decided when you are at the table. I guess you mean adjustments like: "Today I'll add smaller suited connectors to my steal range on the button". This is a good way to experiment, but ultimately it has to do with who is at the table with you. Against an aggrotard in the BB you wouldn't want to steal with smaller SCs, but against nits in the blinds it will be outright profitable to do so, and it will be fairly straightforward to play postflop.
So while it might be a good idea that you have some default ranges in mind, it will always change depending on the opponents at your table.

Table some times

I find that once you see how the table you can adjust your range. Its good to have a strategy going into playing but if one player is out of control you can pick your spots and adjust your range.

I don't make guides for their game. Each hand is unique. The main thing is to play thoughtfully. To analyze the game of your opponents, their ranges, to notice their weaknesses.

I think discipline is the most wanted atu in this game.

Not to go all in if you don't have the nuts.

I don't keep a guide myself, but that should not be stopping you from keeping one :)

Putting Players on Hand Ranges

I play $1/2 presently with my bankroll at Foxwoods. I mainly play on Saturday's and sometimes on a Sunday, I also make a couple of trips a year to the poker room. With being at the tables on a somewhat regular basis I do at times play against players I have played against before, but.. what is the best way to figure out in my head all players poker hand ranges as the hand progresses..

You make a guide as a method of study I think is valid, but if you use it at the time of the game, I find it harder

I play as I think, it all depends on the moment,
You need to play by the senses, ..

Poker range

Helo Cardchat members,
When i play poker, i like to minimize the losts and maximize my earnings. For every type of poker game i make a plan, and the plan can be organized by ranges that you choose. For example: my range on the early stages of elementary tournaments fallows this picture ( I AM A SUPER TIDE GUY). Of course you can change that to the whay you play. those images helps me when i am confused with a move, looking to the blinds, vilains stacks, and hand selection is the safest way to endure poker.

TY everyone

It seems to me it's useless to do it because the situations are different and everything is impossible to calculate. I fully enjoy my intuition and sometimes my luck))

Rocoa , i know its easy to buy in to the nonsense that you need to go into your game nd play with a precise method, but take my advice. Me being someone who is at least 10,000 dollars up in live poker in Atlantic City , give or take a thousand ... Don't think you need to play such a precise strategy. Always be flexible and ready to adjust strategy for every player for every table for every game you sit down in. You need to gain Time and experience and be able to make the right moves on the fly. This is my advice... Don't go in and sit down with a strategy , Because sharks like me will observe it and use your constant play style against you. you need to be able to play 5 strategies at the same time and be constantly changing it. Keep your opponents nervous and confused when it comes to you and your reraises will push them right out of the hand even if you have 7 2 in your hand. Just some advice for yyou ROCOA ! good luck in your next game and try my advice see how it works. and if we are talking online ppoker ...i'd like to say online poker is a kind of retarded and just something i do for fun at home. You have to many wild card players... To many fish that dont care to lose so you got people winning and sucking out on the river or whatever even if you are playing like phil ivey.... Get yourself to your nearest Casino and sit down in the poker room. take care budski:cool:

Nicholas Benedettini,

Dispite the fact that a good poker player doesn't need to tell everyone that he is a shark. There are the new members thats sees the game for a different point of view. No woman ever complained about my clothes smell , but i wasn't refearing to that, the style of play TIGHT chooses more carefuly the hands and dont do dumb things like play the worst hand (72) making constants bluffs. Again, this comunity is funded with the purpuse of sharing poker, not about particular point of view without any logic.
