I would rather play a rookie. Yeah they might make a few longshot draws and beat you, but if you play straight up poker and RARELY bluff, you should be very succesful over a short amount of time.
TIP: Do not attempt to bluff players who can be labeled as "callers". Just bet your solid hands into them, and you will get paid off may times.
Against a pro, he would recognize check-raises, play position very well, etc. I would rather win money from a loose 'rookie' than lose it all to a savvy pro who will know all the moves.
