The odds of getting certain cards before the flop may be useful to some players new to the game.
Odds of getting a pair are 16/1.
Odds of getting two connected cards are 5.4/1.
Odds of getting two suited cards are 3.3/1.
While you may get any of the above, so will the other players. How the betting goes after the flop could give you an indication of what they hold.

this is on average.

I have analyzed about 3K hands per session.

have no pair about 800 hands, it is normal.

and the odds to get AA is 1/221 about 0.45%

but I have a session 2K hands no AA.

You must be the unluckiest poker player in this forum. I wonder why you even bother playing with such terrible luck The odds of being dealt AA are statistically the same as getting any other pair.

No pair in 800 hands? That's 7.06 standard deviations from the norm. That's extremely unlikely. It's possible and with a large enough sample size, it might even be slightly probable. I wouldn't consider it normal. I don't even know the sample size where you would start to expect this to happen.

No AA in 2,000 hands? That's only 3 standard deviations from the norm. It's 0.13% likely, but with a large enough sample size, very probable. A couple million hands and it is likely.

I'm not saying that you didn't have these things happen. They're just not very likely for most players.

Edit:
The following calculations were done to find the number of standard deviations from the mean each of those situations describes. Turning those into percentages is something I always use a lookup table for. There isn't a good source for numbers greater than 5 or 6. So, 7 is just a very small amount.

No pair in 800 hands math: (800/17) / (sqrt(1/17*(1-1/17)^2+16/17*(0-1/17)^2)*sqrt(800)) = 7.07
No AA in 2000 hands math: (2000/221) / (sqrt(1/221*(1-1/221)^2+220/221*(0-1/221)^2)*sqrt(2000)) = 3.02

If you just said: "How the betting goes after the flop could give you an indication of what they hold." you would have basically transmitted the exact same message with a lot less words.

I do not understand why, if I do not win my hand, I will easily throw it away if nebudu is confident of victory, and mathematics do not make me richer :)
