it all depend on the situation you are in, if you are short stacked and the blinds are high then stick your chips in the middle. You could easily come up against a hand like a q a k or a j but you could also be dominating them if they have a hand like QQ JJ 10 10 99 etc.
you have to get your money in the middle.
However if you are deep stacked in a tournament then slowplay them, see a cheapish flop and then decide how strong your opponent is and whether you think you are ahead.
