For me yes, but on a very low amount. I'm 73 years old and disabled, so my only income is from Social Security. I play freerolls and very low entry tournaments. I maybe grind out in a year the equivalent of one of my checks for a month.... Not much, but when you're living on a shoe string it all helps.

Unfortunately, I have not really profitable. I usually paid 50 usd. but I'm losing end of the month. It was bigger prize you? If so write about it. Good luck for everyone;)

Low price tourneys are usually the easiest to consistently win in. Tough to overcome sit n go rakes.

with what mood you approach the game so it will. If there is a desire to get rich quickly, then this is definitely not in poker)))

What I would mention as a negative here is definitely that I had little time, but when I was, I often found myself lazy for my mood. Bar! Nevertheless, I have achieved a beautiful result! First of all, I would like to say who wouldn't know, I'm a freelancer, I'm not a member of any team. This has been a few hurdles for me: from my own experience, it is only a part of poker to sit down at the table, push buttons and play. The mental preparation and the detailed game plans were all my responsibility, even though I was my own player and player.First of all, the biggest difficulty was the mental side, when I didn't have the vitality to sit down to play, but I had to find a way to persuade myself. Then came the scared money feeling, then the bailout, the ban, the impatience, and the lack of motivation. But I can tell you that I managed to do all of them, even if I didn't solve it, but I managed it quite well and took myself to a level where I not only can, but I will! And see, I did a miracle!

It’s better not to make the main source of income, poker is making money from other people's mistakes, now the level of poker is high and people make mistakes less and less.

I develop my mental part with videos and books. I'm reading a resume of successful people, how they've succeeded, and the pitfalls they've had to achieve their goal. Reading these stories, I feel like my badbeaters and my 50-80BI-minus bad runs are tiny sand grains compared to their problem at the time. Defeat is a part of every poker life, and I had to accept that weaker players than me can beat me up to 10x, causing me bad steals and downswings. I had to accept that the 100x tournament could fail with 1300 chips and a lot of psychological obstacles beyond that.

I had 3-years gap in my play and now it seems really more difficult to have good profit in online poker. Power of the poker field increased...

"In our small country this is a nice job. Imo if you are not into a high stakes poker career - many are just that - just want to make money with low variation, then it might be a good idea to try $ 15-30 husngs. group - your interests are always shifted. "

i could never depend on poker. i dont think i have the mindset. i could never imagine myself depending on winnings to pay my bills. wish i could. but once i was a lucky looser at a casino in miami. i had a full house and the other player had a straight flush. and the combinations of the winning hand and my loosing hand i won 6.000 and the winner 12 thousand. so this was my biggest win even though i lost :)

After many years, I am not profitable at online poker/casino sites. I think I do ok at the poker tables but slip into boredom and video poker slots when I can't find a game. Obviously no discipline. Good luck to you.

A lot of people made a lot of money playing poker. That was roughly up to around 2008. Now it became more difficult, especially online where luck plays an important role in the outcome. Nevertheless, when you love the game, you keep playing it !!

All in all, I can say that in a hurry. I'm starting to enjoy poker more. I've watched quite a few videos, day by day analyzing my game (although there is still room for improvement), so this is a good start. Basically, I feel like I'm playing better and better. Unfortunately, this is not a slight result in my results, as the month so far is smooth. About how much extra EV I had in the previous month, this month has eaten. That would not be a problem in itself if I were not looking at continuous coolers. Unfortunately, the set over set, the flop top drill vs flop full in 3bet pot, and the favorite is the flop nuts flush vs str8flush.:captain:

Fish don't like to lose. While all this was new, a lot of fish thought that CG and SNG would get extra work without learning 0 work. Because in these games, without the added luck factor, fish very quickly, even in weeks, discover that they are birds, will fall, so they usually either quit or change their game (where you can stand on the good side of variance for years like spin, mtt). There is a small percentage of fish that like to play as a rollover - EXCEPTION: if the cut-off factor is included. It's just live where the rich entrepreneur spends money in front of everyone. Online, however, there is no "glory" in the downfall. - Decrease in the number of fish

poker is a very attractive game, it seems like nothing complicated, but when you delve into it, you understand that it’s much more complicated than at first glance, and often not only mathematics and knowledge of the game, but also psychology

The game didn't go today .. I wasn't mentally there. I made moves that if I looked back I would have played 10/10 otherwise. Unfortunately, I still have such typical fish innings and sometimes I do things like that, after only about 10 seconds, I realize what the hell I was doing shit now ?!
But now I have found some pretty serious leaks in my game and I have a conscious need to work and develop.
I'm still motivated and there is room for improvement both mentally and technically.

Considering how much time it takes for poker, poker is not a very profitable business for me

In my opinion, you have to be a rich guy if you don't want to loose in poker.
Because if in any time you loose you can recover it in the next time.

Making a profit at poker is not easy. It takes time and hard work to improve. If you can't do this you will always run into better players who will take your money.

Unfortunately poker is not profitable for me.
If I was young and start again my best advice would be for starters never never deposit any money at all costs.
Just play the freerolls. If you are good you will make money. If not you will only loose your time.
Wait probably 2-3 years until you build a decent bankroll. (100$)
Play 50% at the cash games and 50% at the smallest tournaments
If you loose your bankroll repeat.
