Guys i am new to poker just learning the game
Came across "pot odds" maths.
I was just wondering is it better to calculate in ratio's or percentage?
Thanks for your replies
Cheers :)

For me, even if I know the pot odds. Bad beat is still bad beat. If villain hit the gut shot. So be it.

Somewhat dependent on how you personally think, some find it easier one way versus the other. so if one way is easier then the other then go with it. I like percentages.

There's no right or wrong. I personally think in ratios, but everyone is different.

I like using ratios more than percentages but to each their own. Just find it’s easier to quickly compute. I find it even easier if you change your stack to read in big blinds instead. That way you’re dealing mainly in 2 digit numbers (3 if you’re doing good) instead of hundreds of thousands or millions.

More than one calculation will not give you a specific 100 percent result.Always rely on your experience.More practice more training.Develop your knowledge .And mathematics will only give you confidence in your actions and sometimes tell you whether you are on the right path or not.
