Many rules apply when playing poker, in a casino they are different than on-line, as you can understand why, when you have real players and real distractions it is necessary to stay focused, when you are dealing with table play...some players play with their chips constantly, some players listen to music, some players are glued to their phones, some players have conversations over the table during hands, some players are obnoxious, some are slow, some are loose, some slow roll, facial expressions, histrionics, it is all very different on-line, usually slow play, timers galore, trolling, bells and whistles, avatars, anonymous (usually), behavior that is hard to regulate or believe, AI cheats, rigged, computer dealers and cards...in other words...pick your poison.

I only play online because I don't actually have the opportunity to play live. I play in the evenings after work and my main goal is to have fun. It would be difficult for me to find time to go to a poker club or casino. But it is not so difficult to find 2-3 hours for an online game.

If you just don't like socializing or the close contact of a live poker table then online is the way to go. Lots of options directly at your finger tips. That being said, live poker is a great experience!
