A2 low is A2456 23 low is 23456 so you both have a 6 low but the A2 is better --23 has high only and cannot make a better low on river nor tie regardless of what card comes

the way we know the best low is the lowest high card in this case a 6 and the lowest low card in this case the A

So in this example if the A2 was A4 the low would be A4567 for a 7 low but the 23 would have a 6 low 23456 so then it would win low hand as a 6 low is lower than a 7 low even though the ace plays
