Hi guys,
been trying to do some work on my ranges before jumping into the micro stakes, however i have not been able to find a free software to create the ranges for which i intend to follow, would really be greatful if someone could point me in the right direction
thanks in advance
Working on players ranges is a smart play but its also not that simple or easy.
Lets say a UNG standard range you use is. AA to 55 AKs to A9s KQs,KJs QJs and AKo to Ajo and KQo. That would be a tight range but i'm just using as an example. Please dont take this as correct.
The problem is each of the other players may play a totally different range than you assume. Even though you have a standard range you must adjust it for each individual player. The 2st player you play may only play AA-JJ ad AK and that's it. The next playing in that position could play 1/2 the
hands out there. and so on.
My suggestion would be this, You need to watch every player when they play at all positions. Estimate how often they play from each position.
Lets say they play 10% of hands UNG. Look up the top ten hands out there and you have nice starting point. FYI, 10% is AA to 77, AKs to A9s, KQs-KTs QJs to QTs AKo to Ajo and KQo. After a while you see him raise QJo. Thats not in the range but now with new information you can extend his range in this position to include QJo and KJo since its a better hand.
You will need to do this over all positions he plays. Yes not easy at all but helpful if you can keep up,
