This is a discussion on Playing poker in a Team within the online poker forums, in the Learning Poker section; If you played in a 6 max table with 4 friends against 1 randomer
And you and all your friends could communicate
I.E. It is effectively 5
Is it cheating? Of course it is! It goes against a fundamental rule of poker. If you go and look up "Robert's Rules of Poker" (which is generally accepted as the basis for all poker rules unless explicitly stated somewhere else in the house rules), the very first statement, in the very first section is:
The following is not permitted:
Collusion with another player or any other form of cheating.
Don't ask how to do stuff like this. Don't consider doing stuff like this. Doing this would make you a bad person and get you excluded from playing pretty much anywhere decent. You'll quickly get a bad reputation and no one will play with you.
I get no respect. When I move all-in, people from other tables call.
This is a very serious violation of the rules, one of the toughest! Such thoughts should not even be! When you have such thoughts it is better not to start learning about poker! What would it feel to be in this "game"? maybe it's rude, but full of nonsense.. I'm sorry that such questions appear here
Of course it is a trap, in this game it is allowed to lie, to deceive, to take advantage of the weaknesses and distractions of your friends, but that is not allowed and the chances that you lose money are all of them. You're always going to lose
