So i came down to the poker room looking to play 1/2. I bought in with 50$. They sat me down at an empty table and it took about 30min before enough players joined to start a game. It was a really nooby table with maybe 2-3 guys who were alright. I felt like I was kind of up there with them but still came across as a nooby because of my lack of live experience. I felt a little flustered compared to when I play online because of all the attention on me when its my turn to act. Like, sometimes I wanted to take my time and think about a hand like I do online but I kept thinking "everyone's gonna be annoyed by me blah blah"... I was up 87$ when I got dealt KK. Everyone limped to me, I raised 4XBB @ cutoff, the button called (this old lady was going all in with J-7, 9-10, so she was as loose as her vagina), everyone folded except from the guy to the right of me who called. The flop came A-9-3. The guy to the right of me raised 7.5XBB, I went all-in, and the old lady to the left of me called. The guy to the right had the rockets, A-A. The lady, 9-9. The turn and river were 10, Q respectively.
Now, I'm pretty sure that going all in with KK when there is an Ace on the board is retarded especially when the guy before me raised 7.5XBB. But now I can't help but wonder what would have been the best play in this situation. I probably should have been wary of the fact that the guy called my raise pre-flop and then bet again on the flop. Again, I was a little flustered. I hope thats normal.
So what would you do when you have KK in position and raise, player out of position calls then raises on the flop with there being an ace on the board???
