Hey all just started playing omaha hi, finding it a lot more entertaining than regular texas hold em, hard to say whether it's profitable for me at the moment, been in one $5 tournament and finished just in the money. The problem I have is trying to decide what kind of holecards are the nuts

Funniest mistakes I've seen are people going all the way with AAAA or KKKK. Or playing 4 cards of the same suit like a monster.

I've found that chasing a flush is usually worthless. If the board pairs someone will nearly always have a full house.

I occasionally play PLO. The more connected your hand the better. Overpairs have much less value as sets and two pairs are more common. Overplaying bottom set is another common mistake I've seen players making.

You want to be able to play to the nuts. People overvalue low hands a lot and you want to limit your low hands to include an ace and 2 3 or 4.
