Today I played Omaha Hi/Lo for the first time.
Disregard the bets and their sizing, I want someone to explain to me how i didn't win anything?

If I figured it out, the entire pot splits into 2 halfs, one is for basic poker hands, the other half is for low hands? That being said, shouldn't I win the high half of the pot here?

Ah it looks like you think you should've had the flush but in omaha you have to use 2 of your hole cards.

You have a pair of 8s ..no available low ... he has an A ..... that's triples ..

you should have folded preflop on the flop on the turn at the first oproturnity .. gl

Hello Bozovicdj,

You did the same thing I did the first time I played Omaha, I thought I had a monster, but I was only using one of my hole cards in my mind. I think that is something that happens often to Hold 'em players in their first try. I have frequently seen people chatting that they don't understand why they lost. Of course, nobody at the table ever corrects them in the middle of play. Ha ha.

Best of luck to you,
Brian
