Need help understanding why i lost this staight

I started playing on and off, but recently got beat by this.

I got the straight but so he has, shouldn't it be split pot. I also thought you had too have 2 cards in your hand to form the straight ?

He used QT and got AKQJT straight.
You use Q9 and got KQJT9 straight 😉

He could also use JQ or AQ to make the ace high straight

There is this difference in Ohama. You must use two cards from your hand and 3 from the table. In holdem you can use 1 card, 2 cards or even none and just keep the cards on the table. So they both made a straight, but yours is from 9 to K and his is from T to A. His straight is higher, that's why he won.
