Mathematics in poker

What math topics do you have to review or study to be a professional in poker?

Statistics (statistical analysis), probability, and a fine understanding of quantum physics seem to be a helpful trio.

Also, outside of mathematics I have found the study of philosophy/religion/theology/psychology to all be supremely beneficial to the practice of poker. Yes, poker playing is a practice.

I don't believe in mathematics in poker, I think it's luck, I've seen players win with bad hands, how does mathematics influence them?

Knowledge of Probability helps in calculating equity. Also one needs to determine pot odds (Division) and compare it with Equity.

Game theory also helps in decision making.
