Im wondering if its cash or tournaments that consistently make money. Who makes consistent money in either one.

Many different paths carry people to the poker table (fun or money, money and fun). Those who stick with the game do so for many reasons as well, although most are motivated by the prospect of making a profit at poker.

Can you make money playing poker? is obviously that you can, but you also need to be willing to put in the work to increase your skills.

Cash is where you can get a steady stream of income once you get the hang of it. Tournaments will give way bigger payouts but expect a long time between cashes due to higher variance with the larger number of players. While you can make positive income in both it takes both time and patience to get to that point in your game. Focus on studying and learning the game and you can have a chance at making decent profits over time.

First thing to know : poker is not casino. Don t expect to win big amount of money in short time. You must be patient and a good player to be in the money . Try to play them both , play micro buy-in for tournaments . Tournaments pays more than cash because of the high number of players. Good luck in tables

Both cash games and MTT's are hit and miss, one day you'll earn and the next you'll lose. Sit n go's are another option but its the same, you could play 5 in a day, cash in only 1 and be at a negative. I'd suggest finding freerolls like the ones provided here and building a roll that you're comfortable learning/losing with.

diff

I was playing 9man sngs for last year and I really struggle to make some money, then I tried tournaments, cash, zoom and its a bit easier because there is much more bad players. I found that in 9man sng is level higher. (I speak about micro limit, 1.5usd)
I know that the difference is not that huge, but I registered some diff.
