I just wanted you to elaborate more, because I have no idea what you're talking about.
1) I don't think you always have pot odds to play. In fact, quite often you don't. Just because your hand only needs to be good 1/10 times doesn't mean you should be calling your 1/100 garbage.
2) But you *will* win in the long run if you make calls with correct pot odds. If you aren't winning in the long run, then you're not getting correct pot odds.
I think your issue may be what Kornholio is getting at, or how you're calculating pot odds.
These types of questions are quite often better posted as hand analysis posts because we get a specific example of what you're asking, and better players tend to post in that section.
