hello i recently started learning poker and have been playing micro stakes cash game on pokerstar.
i know the basics but im still a bit of a noob and i want to study and advance my skill but dont want to pay money for a online course yet. i have watched a load of you-tube videos about the maths etc there good videos but there all a bit brief i would prefer applying and practicing type videos.
does anyone know of any good sites with videos or yt videos where i can learn the maths and general knowledge of poker ? Thanks
I enjoy online for convenience but I prefer live. Especially when starting out I think it is important at least for me to observe / play in a live poker room to see the reactions, interactions and catch the flow of poker. This is something that I at least think is best to observe live and or bring a small amount you are willing to part with to learn. It does not take long to understand the basics and etiquette. Once you have a basic foundation you can then begin to learn the odds / follow strategy from others as you indicated. Just some thoughts. I know online and live are two different things and when I play online a lot my strategy is completely different than live and vice versa. Good luck with your poker education dont forget to learn to enjoy the game before you master it
