Mainly playing live poker, how do you discover the leaks in your game? Do people tell you what they are? do you figure them out yourself? What are the best ways to figure out the leaks in your game. This year playing live MTT's $65-$500 buy ins I am down $2100 and Cash games $300-$1000 buy ins I am up $1300 around 600 hours. So all in all losing player this year. Let me know what you do to find your leaks and work on your game.

Hopefully this is not too much... I am not getting any responses so maybe I will explain a little better.. I just want to hear from everyone in hopes that something will also help me understand what to look for or who to talk too. I guess most people on this site play online so a HUD helps making decisions, I just feel playing live is WAY easier and more profitable in the long run. Hopefully you will share how you figured out what your leaks are..

The only way you can really do it is speak to the players at your home games because there more likely to help you by pointing out you leaks and then it’s just to take a mental note of yourself and try to remember any situations where you struggled and then analyse it when you get home to figure out if you played it right or wrong or if you’re still stuck stick the hand on here and someone will help u out

Yea, been doing that. Created a Facebook group a few days ago and added friends from the casino. Will be going over thoughts leaks and such. Really wanted to hear other people’s leaks, and possibly speed up the process, because believe it or not we all struggle with the same things. Appreciate the response.

I'm not entirely sure what my biggest leaks are at the moment, but I have a rough idea of what situations I tend to struggle in. Namely, these ones:

- Playing AK aggressively preflop, missing the flop, then continuing to play aggressively
- Playing low-mid pocket pairs in general
- Understanding when to stop barrelling on a bluff

The last one in particular has been getting me into trouble lately. I've been on one of the worst dry runs of my poker career for the past week or so, so I've been forced into situations where I have to either bluff or roll over and die. Unfortunately I have a hard time convincing myself to surrender a bluff rather than double or even triple barrelling, so I think I end up losing a lot of money on those hands.

I feel you on that! Those are all difficult situations..

I feel like as long as you feel ahead of the range of your opponent it’s fine to continue with AK because in essence you’re still value betting...

Yea I struggle bad with mid pocket pairs... 99-JJ specifically..

And I have a hard time with your last one as well it feels like when I do “pick” the time to barrel it’s into the nuts and the time I give up it goes Check Check and they table a low pair that wins. When I could have barraled and won

Spend the money on a good poker coach.

Mainly playing live poker, how do you discover the leaks in your game? Do people tell you what they are? do you figure them out yourself? What are the best ways to figure out the leaks in your game. A good coach will spot your leaks even if small

That’s definitely solid advice. I might have to go that route. At the moment trying to see if I can figure it out myself for free, if not that’s definitely the next step. Appreciate the response.

I like to use very technical Thiago Decano is reading tells, from a simple drink water after a fold up a complaint with the dealer, live must be observed all. Now online for the also pick up some behaviors, such as amount of each bet position, notes the bluffs and stubbornness (pay on the drill).
