I was having a discussion this evening with my only real life poker friend. The topic was my recent revelation in growing and working on my live game in general. I was getting frustrated a few months ago playing low buy in tournaments (BPO, <$100 dailies, etc) with so many people playing out of range, limping, catching blah blah blah. My recent change in attitude is that I should be using those games to develop my own discipline and not let those things get me out of the groove and break my focus. If I am going to think of myself as a good player, I should be able to beat those games in a consistent manner! My question is...
What game do YOU guys play to work on your meta game? I don’t have people I like enough close to me to have a regular home game at lower limits and I am curious if there are any creative ideas out there! I am sure this has been discussed before but I am new to the forum and some fresh input qould be great!

$10-$20 games (where there aren't any no-limit, Omaha or other games) and the max is $20-$40 are a good transition from $5-$10 to $20-$40. Players are moving up and down through this cash game. To generalize, in any casino find the game where players are looking to make the jump into the bigger games and where busted players are moving down to recoup their losses. From the rails watch the play and assess.
