AA = bullets where I come from

KQ = royal couple (especially if hearts)

22 = ducks

JJ = hooks

I don't know much else.

One thing about the UK is that the term 'boat' is never used to describe the fullhouse hand, only pro poker players will know what you mean in a poker game if you say 'boat' here, must use the word 'full house'. Also 'quads' is very rarely ever used where I come from, people will usually say 'four of a kind' all out loud instead... Lol...

Some people who are new to poker call a 'straight' a 'street'. Rather than saying 'king-high flush' here they say 'flush with king high'

AK = Anna Kournikova = Looks good but doesn't always play well.

A straight is called Straße in German, which actually would translate to street in English.

Oh and there is that infamous Doyle Brunson hand of T2.

Thank you for the kind words! :icon_fara

To be honest, my grandfather is in critical condition (will definitely be passing away soon) but I have said my goodbyes (he is in severe stroke but can understand what you say, he can show emotion just not express words well)... I am not too sad about it as he's been there my entire childhood but he is one of my closest human beings alive... I will miss him it is definite.

On a positive note, my grind is improving I am keeping a journal here:

How are you doing?

I've always liked to call K9 "The Dog" too myself but pretty sure I'd sound stupid if I said it out loud.

In Western Europe, the first playing cards appeared in the XIII century. In our country, they appeared much later - according to the most common version of maps in Russia began to play at the turn of the XVI and XVII centuries. Complete unanimity about the country from which the first maps came to Russia is not among the historians. The most popular version - the cards came to Russia from the Czech Republic - because in this country the maps appeared at the same time, when in Western Europe. But there are also "Polish" and "German" versions.

Never heard AA called Dolly Parton. I have, however, heard 9 5 called this because of her 1980 #1 hit.

Some time ago i was watching poker stream where streamer had 22. Streamer won pot and he said deuces never lose *4Head*. I said in chat that ofcourse, lowest pair, but always lucky hand, ofcourse ducks never lose. One of the mod said deuces, not ducks *NotThisWay*. I know 22 hand also as ducks, barely hear word deuces.
