I starded with learning the rules and play 5 card draw poker as a kid. When I was 16 I started to play holdem with friends and online for cash. Back in those days every non gambler/casino player was easily a winning player still having a lot of leaks. So was I. I played until my early 20s and was winning at micro to medium limits cash and tournament poker on

888 Poker, Pokerstars and Full Tilt. I then quit and came back over 10 years later to find a whole different world of poker. Games are tough now because everyone has access to learning stuff free and so many people do it for a living even at the micro stakes that most real casino gambler people lose interest. So I started learning new things and work on my leaks. In theory I should be an easy winning player at the micros but unfortunately variance kills me since half a year by now. Poker definetely has to be played and learned the serious way in todays games. Otherwise you pay for it everyday.
