We all know that the "Volunteer Put In Pot" statistic is useful, but what is the proper way to pronounce this when speaking?

I usually just say V-P-I-P (each letter), but will sometimes say "Volunteer Put In Pot." However, I recently heard someone call it V-PIP. Which is correct? Is my V-P-I-P way wrong, or is this like po-tato versus po-ta-to?

I would say all are correct and it is purely personal preference. My preference is V-pip.

I'd say most refer to this stat. (VP$IP) as "V-Pip"

I always have gone with Vee P-I-P but it brings a smile to my face whenever I hear the “pip” used instead. Guess it reminds me of British slang for saying goodbye, the eternally cheery, “pip pip!” Makes me wish I’d heard it that way first, as I’m sure I would’ve started saying it that way. As is, I think it would be nearly as difficult as starting to pronounce my name a different way at this point 🤣
