How to play trips on the flop?

Well this is just an unlucky spot, if you bet the flop you're getting raised with the open ended str8 flush draw and if you check I imagine you're doing it with the intention of checkrasing, so I don't really see you getting away from this hand in particular. Just unlucky there.

Yeah this is the type of hand you might want to consider getting away from.. especially once the 3rd spade came on the turn...


Typically though I like to play trips like I have top pair..

Well we do have the chance to draw to 2 flush draws since we have an unsuited pocket pair. But I agree that it is a fold preflop seeing as we have a mid pair and 92% of the time there are overcards and we only flop a set 4% of the time.

So any time I get medium /small pocket pair preflop I should fold if someone calls & doesn't raise me? I should fold instantly after flop drawing another 7 to make trips if they are 2 suited cards on flop?
